It’s Wedding Veil time again this week!!! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I loved the first installment of the Wedding Veil trilogy in 2022. And if it’s possible, I ADORE this second set of the Wedding Veil trilogy movies EVEN MORE. This second of the three movies of this new set is REALLY great and I loved it so much. I can’t wait to hear what you think about it, too! Let’s dive right into “The Wedding Veil: Inspiration” movie review!

My Review:

We’ve got 2 of the 3 new Wedding Veil movies of this trilogy now! And they have not disappointed!! I loved this one even more than The Wedding Veil: Expectations from last week! But, to be honest, Paulo and Emma were my very favorite story from the first trilogy, so it totally tracked that I’d adore their story in the second trilogy. If nothing else, I’m completely in love with Paulo’s accent.

Paulo and Emma are living in Chicago. She’s a professor and is trying to get a promotion to the head of the art history department. Paulo is getting ready to open his lace shop in Chicago! There is a sudden health emergency back home in Italy with Paulo’s father, so he must go home and attend to the family business there. The shop is in the hands of his cousin, and partner, Mateo (played by Carlo Marks). Emma’s assistant Lily (played by Kasey Rohl) and Mateo find themselves beginning their own love story during the movie, as the magic of the veil comes through once again!

I adore Autumn Reeser in any movie she’s in. I think she’s an absolute delight and I make it a point to watch anything she is in. Paulo is played by Paulo Bernardini and he’s just fantastic. Like I said before, I adore his accent, so he could read the ABC’s and I’d be fully entertained. I always love Carlo Marks, he’s a gem in any movie that he appears in. And I didn’t know Kasey Rohl that played Lily, but she might have been my favorite character in this entire movie. I absolutely adored her!

The Bottom Line

I loved this movie. No doubt about it. I loved it more than last week’s, and I loved that movie a good bit. And I loved this movie more than any of the original three movies as well. I can’t wait for next week, because Allison Sweeney and Victor Webster are absolute magic together, too. I have such high hopes and so far, this has just been fantastic. Let me know what you think once you’ve seen the movie!

Hot Takes!

Here’s a quick look at what the Deck The Hallmark Podcast Fellas thought about his movie:

  • Bran – “This is the best wedding veil movie to date. I loved the Lily and Mateo story. I didn’t give a rip about the Emma and Paulo storyline. Carlo Marks and Kacey Rohl were great.”
  • Brian – “I thought the internal struggle that Emma had was very realistic. The incident where Paulo has to go back to Italy was super flat to me. The movie was fine. I’ve suspended my disbelief on a few things and it’s just wearing thin.”
  • Dan – “There were a lot of possible things that could have happened in Wedding Veil 5. All of them boring. One that I didn’t see coming though was back door Carlo Marks rom-com pilot. And it’s a huge improvement over the first Italian Wedding Veil movie.”

Location, Location, Location

“The Wedding Veil: Inspiration” was set in Chicago, but it was actually filmed in Victoria, British Columbia, just like the first installment of this trilogy. There was a small part filmed in Bulgaria when Paulo is supposedly in Italy.

Wrap-Up – “The Wedding Veil: Inspiration”

The second of the three new Wedding Veil movies is in the books! And it was fantastic! The legend of the veil is now five for five! I loved all the romantic gestures that Paulo extended to Emma! And I absolutely adored Mateo and Lily’s storyline! Give me a second movie with them in it and I’m here for it! That’s five total Wedding Veil movies so far and I’ve adored every single one of them! I cannot wait for the final of this trilogy next week! Let me know what you think about this movie. Until then, Happy Hallmarking, Friends!
