It’s Wedding Veil time!!! I adored the first Wedding Veil trilogy that aired in 2022 and I could not have been more excited to hear that there would be a new Wedding Veil movie trilogy this year! And I was even more excited to hear that they would be airing 3 weeks in a row! Last year we had to wait several weeks in between the movies, and this is much better for this impatient Hallmark Movie Lover! Let’s dive into “The Wedding Veil: Expectations” movie review!

My Review:

As I said above, I adored the original Wedding Veil trilogy from 2022. And I don’t think that these new movies will be any different, especially if the first movie of the 2023 trilogy is any indication of the quality coming our way! This movie is fantastic and I absolutely enjoyed it the entire time!

Peter and Avery are back! They have bought a super old house that’s in need of a TON of renovations. As they are working their way through the stressful renovations, they also find out that Avery is expecting a baby! Peter’s mom also finds a love interest after being a widow for several years now! Will the veil work its magic again? Of course, it will! You know this!

Lacey Chabert is pure magic any time she’s on a screen for the Hallmark Channel. And this movie is no different. Kevin McGarry is also wonderful in this movie! Together, they have fantastic chemistry, just like they did in the first movie, too! And this time around we’ve added Peter’s mom, Karen Kruper (Grace), and Barry Levy (Mason) as her love interest. Their story is sweet as well.

The Bottom Line

I would dare to say I loved this movie more than any of the original three movies! I thoroughly enjoyed the home renovations and Peter’s mom’s love story. Add to that they find out they are having a baby, and I’m a captive audience every time this movie comes on! I can’t wait to hear what you think!!

Location, Location, Location

“The Wedding Veil: Expectations” was filmed in Victoria, Canada. Though so much of it was done inside the home and art museum, there weren’t a ton of outdoor shots to show us the beauty of Victoria!

Fun Film Facts

These three movies were all filmed individually, but all have appearances by all three of the trilogy stars, Lacey Chabert, Alison Sweeney, and Autumn Reeser! Filming was batched and condensed whenever possible, but there were 3 separate shoots, including the final movie shooting in Greece and Bulgaria!
